Aloha Mamas!!! My name is Sarah Haines and I am the proud owner of SLAM Honolulu! I am beyond excited to grow the SLAM sisterhood on Oahu and bring this beautiful community to life here in Honolulu.

I am an Army spouse, but also served in the Army Reserves for 8 years which is where I met my husband, Zach. This year we will celebrate ten years married! We have two amazing kiddos, Leo (5) and Ava (3), and two fur babies, Chase and Molly. We love to be active as a family; going to the beach, hiking, running and anything outdoors! My favorite ways to sweat like a mother are running races or a fun and sweaty, themed SLAM class!

While stationed in Panama City Beach, I found my first SLAMily in 2019 when my son was just four months old. I showed up to class as a new mom, excited, but unsure of what to expect. I was welcomed with open arms into the SLAM PCB community and it changed my life forever. I found a support system, I made some of my best friends, I got stronger mentally and physically, and I accomplished things I never knew I could. I found a place where I could exercise safely newly postpartum, pregnant with my daughter, and postpartum once again. I was with this amazing mama tribe for 3.5 years before we found out about our next move. I immediately searched for SLAM and was ecstatic to find out about SLAM Wahiawa.

We arrived in Hawaii in 2023 and my SLAM journey continued. Building more relationships, being inspired by new women and friends, encouraging and supporting each other once again, and entering into the instructor role! I love SLAM and everything about it. I am that girl that can’t help but talk about it when I meet a new mom at the park, coffee shop, or even grocery store. But the more mamas I talked to, the more I realized the need for the community to be available here in Honolulu too. I feel so grateful to be in a position where I can take what I’ve learned and experienced these past almost 5 years and help to lead, teach, and cheer on more mamas in their journeys too!

I know the feeling of moving to a new place and yearning for a community. My hope is to build a welcoming, encouraging, inspiring, supportive, and loving SLAM Ohana here in Honolulu. One where mamas walk up and instantly feel like they belong and are motivated by each other, just like I felt walking into SLAM for the first time too. I can’t wait to see the community in Honolulu blossom and for the mamas here to find out what it really means to Sweat Like A Mother!
